Theorem Solutions is a world leader in the field of Product Data Exchange and Interoperability. This leadership position stems from both the quality and broad range of dedicated Mechanical CAD products that are supported. The vast majority of the world’s leading  Automotive, Aerospace, Power Generation and Transportation companies use our products daily, along with the Suppliers that operate within these industries. Theorem Solutions is an independent UK based company incorporated in 1990, with both sales and support offices in the UK and USA. Today the company is recognised as one of the world leaders in the field of Product Data Exchange. Theorem was formed with the mission of developing application programs to solve the problem of Product Data Exchange using both Direct Database conversions – CADverter and International Standards based conversion methods – STEP, the goal being to significantly improve the ease of use and quality of Product Data Exchange for Mechanical CAD/CAM users. This technical requirement, and the need for corporations world-wide to cut costs by sub-contracting design and manufacturing, combined with the need to develop more integrated information systems has contributed to the growth and development of Theorem and its products.
 Today Theorem has a very broad suite of products, offering both direct database converters and also STEP based converters. In the field of STEP, Theorem actively participates in the forums of the International Standards Organisations and is a member of both PDES Inc. and ProSTEP iViP Association. Theorem is not only active in its own R & D efforts but is also involved in the Industrial Design and Development of STEP through its membership of the organisations. Theorem also contributes through SC4 ISO 10303 committees where approriate. STEP products are a major part of our product profile and area of expertise.
As the company name states we are a Solutions company. Product Data Exchange is not just about converting data from System A to System B but also involves other business issues. Complementing our Translation and Interoperability products is a range of tools to interrogate, manipulate and edit assemblies and filter model data interactively, all as part of a data conversion process. In addition we also have tools to analyse, repair and heal model data which is poor in quality, to enable it to be successfully converted.
Theorem is a totally independent company but enjoys good relationships with the various CAD vendors, including; Autodesk, IBM, Dassault Systems, ICEM Technologies, PTC, SolidWorks, Spatial Technology and UGS, and is as such a user in house of products from these companies. The use of the various CAD systems supplied by these vendors is for development, testing and product support, support being an essential and on-going element of Theorem’s business. Many of the CAD vendors re-sell Theorem’s Products under licence, which further reinforces our relationship and provides valuable feedback to our development process.
